Morelli Law Firm is not afraid to take cases to trial. Any case the firm takes on receives the full-court press, something that Benedict Morelli has taken pride in since he founded the firm in 1998. Morelli Law Firm litigates all types of cases, including employment discrimination, personal injury, mass tort, class action, and medical malpractice, and is committed to fighting for people who have suffered serious injuries. Morelli has made his name standing up for the little guy, often against tremendous odds. Recently, Morelli and his firm took on Walmart, the largest company in the world. The firm represented actor/comedian Tracy Morgan and five other people, some of whom suffered severe, life-threatening injuries when a Walmart truck rammed into the rear of their limo bus on the New Jersey Turnpike. Morgan and two other passengers suffered traumatic brain injuries in the crash, and one passenger was killed. Morelli Law Firm achieved a quick and definitive resolution, settling the case in just ten months for a confidential amount.

For decades, Morelli has consistently obtained some of the largest verdicts in the country in a wide variety of cases. There’s the $95 million, record-setting sexual harassment verdict the firm recently obtained on behalf of a young woman who was harassed by various supervisors at a Fortune 1000 company. There’s the $62 million record-setting verdict for a young worker who suffered catastrophic injuries after falling at a construction site.

The list goes on: $41 million recovered for the family of a mother who died after doctors failed to properly diagnose a ruptured ectopic pregnancy; a $22.5 million largest-ever vaccine verdict for a father who was paralyzed after changing his just-vaccinated daughter’s diaper; a $30 million verdict for a man whose legs were amputated after falling onto subway tracks. The firm has continued its momentum with several multimillion dollar verdicts in 2016. Morelli Law Firm is currently representing a number of clients in high profile litigations. The firm represents numerous victims—one of whom is a nationally renowned chef rendered quadriplegic— injured in the May 12, 2015, Amtrak train derailment in Philadelphia. The firm was appointed as one of the lead firms on behalf of all plaintiffs in the litigation by the federal judge in charge of the entire litigation in Philadelphia. Additionally, the firm represents clients who were injured in the recent New Jersey Transit and Long Island Railroad train crashes. The firm also represents top-ranked women’s tennis player Eugenie Bouchard who was injured at the 2015 U.S. Open, as well as a man in a case against David Copperfield and the MGM Grand Hotel, who suffered a traumatic brain injury during his participation in a magic trick. Further, the firm represents the widow of Marvin Hamlisch, a world-renowned composer and performer, in a medical malpractice/wrongful death suit. Moreover, the firm represents a 42-year-old woman in a gender discrimination case against one of the major television broadcast networks. The woman was highly regarded in the field, having won various awards, including a Peabody, multiple Emmys, a Writers Guild of America Award, and an Edward R. Murrow award. Standing up for his clients, regardless of the opposition, is standard operating procedure for Morelli. “We advocate for the little person against all odds,” Morelli says, “and we never shy away from a difficult case if we believe it is meritorious.”

For many years, the firm has also represented thousands of people injured by dangerous and defective pharmaceuticals and medical devices against major drug companies. Some of these cases include suits against the manufacturers of Vioxx, Avandia, Bextra, Propecia, testosterone replacement therapy, and defective hip devices. Morelli and the firm have been appointed by courts around the country to serve in leadership roles in many of these litigations. The firm is currently representing women in cases against Johnson & Johnson alleging that their use of the company’s talcum powder caused them ovarian cancer. “Many other firms in the country handle only one or two types of civil cases,” Morelli says. “We, on the other hand, are a civil litigation firm which has litigated, tried, and won many types of cases including employment, pharmaceutical, and labor law, among others.” Morelli Law Firm has secured billions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for its clients and continues to fight on a daily basis to give a voice to the voiceless.
