Chad Callahan’s practice is primarily devoted to estate planning, estate, gift and generation-skipping transfers, tax planning, business succession planning, charitable planning, tax controversy matters against the IRS and matters involving the administration of trusts and estates. He is board certified in Wills, Trusts & Estates by the Florida Bar.
Chad enjoys working with families to achieve their various estate planning goals, including succession planning for closely held businesses, life insurance, wealth preservation, planning with private foundations, and planning for families with young children. He also works with family members and professional fiduciaries through the probate and trust administration process after a death and the related post-mortem tax issues.
Chad is active in both professional activities and the community. He is a member of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association, serving on its Estate Planning and Administration for Business Owners, Farmers, and Ranchers Committee. He is a member of The Florida Bar's Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section, where he serves on the IRA, Insurance, and Employee Benefits, Asset Protection, and Probate Law and Procedure Committees. He is also a member of the Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council. Chad currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Tampa Museum of Art Foundation, The Advancement Committee of the Tampa Bay History Center, and as Chairman of the Board of Success 4 Kids and Families, Inc.- Thousand & One
