Before joining DKOW, Nathan spent five years at a leading national defense law firm, where he defended medical professionals, health care providers, long-term care facilities, and hospitals, including the largest hospital corporation in the United States, against claims of medical negligence. He resolved numerous claims and lawsuits through voluntary settlements, alternative dispute resolution, and jury trials. Nathan credits his experience as a defense attorney for his effectiveness as a plaintiff’s lawyer, as it gave him invaluable insight into how both sides approach complex litigation.
A Utah native, Nathan resides in Bountiful with his wife, Sarah, and their three children. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah and his Juris Doctor from the S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was a note and comment editor for the Utah Law Review. Nathan is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Utah. He is also an active member of the David K. Watkiss-Sutherland II Inn of Court and the Utah Association for Justice.
